My love of photography goes back to the last years of my school-days. But building a career, getting married and bringing up children (and dogs, which are much easier in my opinion!) sort of got in the way as spare time vanished. My career led to me opening my own business, which I subsequently sold, allowing me to retire at a relatively young age. I needed a hobby. My wife told me! Photography was the answer. Joining a local camera club and ending up as Chairman sent me on an interesting journey. One which continues. I now hold an ARPS distinction from the Royal Photographic Society, of which The Princess of Wales is Patron. I enjoy taking imagery for myself, but more and more often these are now being shared, and purchased, by friends and acquaintances. So here dawned an idea. Let me bring my images to you and a group of friends in your home. A Print Party if you like. Rather than have an image which hangs on hundreds of other peoples’ walls, why not own original imagery? When I arrive at a new location, I don’t immediately reach for my camera. I need something to catch my eye. To interest me. To make me want to capture the moment then preserve it forever. That’s what I call photography from the heart.
